Welcome to my profile, January 2022.
About Me:
I was in healthcare for over twenty-five years but stopped working when my son was about four. I had my son later in life. Sometimes I feel he keeps me young; other times, I think that being an older mom has aged me rapidly. It all depends on the day and the drama that ensued.
The past six years were full of lots of changes and relocations. Not to mention moving to the opposite coast three months before covid-19 took over the world. When you go through many upheavals, you learn a lot about yourself and those around you.
Why I Write:
I’ve always been drawn to the arts and started writing when I was a teenager. I found my poetry journal and decided to live my dream of writing a book. I’ve been working on a novel and two children’s books.
A dear friend and mentor encouraged me to start writing for Medium. I started my journey on the platform in May of 2021. Being creative again has helped me rediscover my passion. It has also helped me on my spiritual journey of healing and self-realization. I write about the human journey, change, spirituality, equality, parenthood, and whatever inspires me.
